The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to set out the principles governing the processing of the information and data shared by users (“User”) of the products and services offered through the domain name www.benimpos.com, its subdomains and applications (“Platform”) operated by BenimPOS Bilişim Teknolojileri Limited Şirketi (“Company”).

This Policy applies together with the User Agreement, the Privacy Notice on Personal Data and the applicable legislation.

Terms of the Privacy Policy

• 1. The Company does not share with third parties, does not use for any commercial purpose other than the stated purposes, and does not transfer to third parties the personal data and information it obtains in connection with electronic commerce transactions or that is provided to it by Users through membership forms or otherwise, except in the cases specified in this Privacy Policy and in the relevant Privacy Notice on personal data published on the Platform.
• 2. Users’ personal data and confidential information will be disclosed to public authorities only where requested by those authorities and where disclosure is required under the mandatory provisions of the legislation in force.
• 3. Information entered for the purposes of Platform membership, product purchases and information updates cannot be viewed by other Platform users.
• 4. To ensure the security of the information provided to the Company by Users or obtained by the Company, and of all transactions carried out through the Platform, appropriate technical and administrative measures have been taken by our Company or the relevant institution in its systems and internet infrastructure, according to the nature of the information and the transaction, within the limits of available technology and cost.
• 5. The Company may update, amend or repeal the provisions of this Privacy Policy at any time. Each updated, amended or repealed provision will take effect for the User as of its publication date. The User’s continued use of the Company’s services or products after a change has been made will constitute consent to the changes.

First Use, Registration and Sign-In Instructions
Registration is required to use the Platform. You can register free of charge at https://www.benimpos.com/register. After registering, you may continue to use the Platform free of charge until the end of the license period stated on your profile page. During registration, your first name, last name, email address, password, city and company name are requested. Filling in this information is sufficient.
To sign in, you can use your email address and the password you have set.

Information Security Guidelines

• 1. SSL
  The SSL used on the Company’s servers ensures that data between our users and the system is encrypted and transferred securely. The encryption used is the same as the encryption standards used by banks.
• 2. User Access
  No one is given access to your company account unless invited by the User. Only in the event of a technical or system failure, and upon the permission you grant from within your account, will authorized Company personnel access your data for support purposes.
• 3. User Passwords
  Users are expected to create strong passwords and are themselves responsible for keeping the passwords they create confidential. The user account is blocked after multiple failed sign-in attempts. Sessions that remain open for a long time are closed automatically.
• 4. Physical Security, Network Security and Firewall As the operating systems we use are developed, we obtain professional support so that potential security vulnerabilities can be identified and addressed immediately. Network security against external cyberattacks is provided through Cloudflare. In this way, we create a firewall through which we can protect our system and our users.
• 5. Data Sharing
  We undertake to protect data privacy within the framework of our user agreement. We offer value-added services to our users together with our business partners. Accordingly, when our users use our business partners’ products, various data are shared with those business partners. For example, we offer an e-invoice service through Mysoft acting as the private integrator. For users who activate these services, data is naturally shared with these companies during their use of the services. Apart from this, your data in BenimPOS remains under your control.
• 6. Data Backup
  To guard against potential technical problems, your data is backed up more than once a day and each backup is retained for 3 days. BenimPOS makes every effort to prevent data loss. However, it is not responsible for any data loss that may occur, directly or indirectly, due to physical or software causes. BenimPOS regularly updates its systems so that all data is backed up and stored completely. It does not guarantee against loss of data or backups that may occur in cases of force majeure or due to physical or software causes, whether directly or indirectly.
• 7. Data Security
  If you use only the BenimPOS web and mobile applications, your data is not stored on your computer. As a result, even if your computer breaks down, is stolen or is lost, your data remains stored on servers in the cloud. Where you need to share your data with any person inside or outside your company, instead of sending it by email or USB drive, you can provide much more secure access to your data by assigning the people you wish to share it with as users. With the BenimPOS Desktop application, however, your data is also stored on your computer, and you can access your data even when you do not have an internet connection. To keep your data secure:
  • Choose a password that no one can guess.
  • Do not share your password with anyone.
  • Do not write your password on a piece of paper and leave it lying around.
  • Keep your browser up to date.
  • Make sure you sign in to the application at https://www.benimpos.com/login.
  

• BenimPOS requests your personal and company information (name, company name, city, etc.) in order to provide better service to its users.
• All information entered into the system by the user can be accessed only by the user and can be changed only by the user.
• It is not possible for anyone else to access or change this information, except with the user’s permission and consent or where the user shares their registered email address and password with a third party.
• To keep the security of users who make purchases on the site at the highest level, the credit card information requested on the payment page is not stored in any way on the servers of BenimPOS or of the companies providing services to it. In this way, all payment-related transactions are carried out between the bank and your computer through the benimpos.com interface.

Use of Anonymized and Commercial Data

The Company may process the sales, transaction and usage data obtained through the Platform for the purposes of:

• Reporting
• Generating statistics
• Market and industry analysis
• Product and service development
• Analysis of price and product trends

The data sets used in this context are anonymized:

• so that they do not contain personal data,
• in a manner that does not allow the identity of the relevant business to be determined directly or indirectly, and
• using internal system codes that are meaningful only within BenimPOS systems.

The Company may share anonymized data sets of this nature with its business partners or may earn commercial revenue from these analyses. The User may not claim any fee, share or right on account of such uses.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

The Company may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Updated provisions take effect on their publication date. The User’s continued use of the Platform means that the User accepts the changes.
