What is BenimPOS and who is it for?
What BenimPOS does, which businesses it suits, which devices it runs on, where your data is stored and which features it doesn't have yet.
BenimPOS is cloud-based barcode sales, stock and account (customer / supplier) tracking software for small and medium-sized businesses. You use the same account with the Windows desktop app, the web panel (in a browser) and the mobile app (BenimPOS Pro); the data is the same in all three. In service since 2017, BenimPOS is used by thousands of businesses in Turkey and abroad.
What can you do?
- Barcode sales: cash, card, on account (credit) and split payments, returns, discounts, receipt printing, selling with a scale. How do I make a sale?
- Products and stock: data for more than 3.2 million ready-made barcoded products; scan a barcode and the product details come up. Bulk upload with Excel, stock counts, critical stock, products with variants (size, colour), extra barcodes, expiry date and batch tracking, label printing.
- Account tracking: customer credit balances and payments, suppliers, purchase invoices and supplier payments.
- Promotions and loyalty: promotions such as buy 3 pay for 2 or a discount on the second item; points and stamp cards for your customers.
- Reports: end-of-day, date-based, product and group reports, profit and cost.
- Staff: staff codes and permissions, staff activity.
- Branches: manage several stores from one panel and transfer products between branches.

Which businesses is it for?
It is designed for retail businesses selling barcoded products and wholesalers, such as supermarkets, grocery shops, kiosks, tobacco and liquor shops, stationers, nut and dried fruit shops, delicatessens, greengrocers, butchers, housewares, hardware, clothing, haberdashery, cosmetics and pet shops. There is no limit on the number of devices or staff; the computers don't need to be on the same network. Setup: Desktop installation, Mobile app.
Where is my data stored, and is it safe?
- Your web and mobile data is stored and backed up in the cloud; even if you change your phone or computer, just log in with the same account on the new device.
- The desktop app saves data to your computer first and syncs it with the cloud when there is internet. On licensed accounts, the data is kept both on the computer and in the cloud.
- Your data isn't shared with third parties. BenimPOS isn't connected to the tax office; only if you set up an e-invoice or fiscal cash register integration are the relevant documents sent to those systems.
- You can protect your account with two-factor authentication and give staff their own codes and passwords.

Frequently asked questions
Is BenimPOS free?
All features are free for the first period; after that, you can continue with the limited free version or buy a license: License types and prices.
Is there a ready-made product list? Do I have to enter products one by one?
There is no ready-made list to download into your account in bulk, but data for more than 3.2 million products is ready in the cloud: scan a barcode and the product name comes up, so the card is created quickly. You can upload many products in bulk with Excel. If you are moving from other software: Moving from another program.
I don't have a barcode scanner. Can I still use it?
Yes. You can search for a product by name, type the barcode by hand, or scan barcodes with your phone camera in the mobile app. The system generates barcodes for products without one.
Is one computer enough?
Yes. You can use the web panel or the desktop app on a single computer. You provide hardware such as a barcode scanner and receipt and label printers yourself: Hardware recommendations.
Can I sell when the internet goes down?
With the desktop app, yes; the data syncs automatically when the internet is back. The web and mobile apps don't work without internet.

Can I use BenimPOS in a language other than Turkish?
Yes. BenimPOS is available in Turkish, English, Azerbaijani, Russian and Arabic. You change the language in the web panel under My Profile › Basic settings: Language, country and region settings.
Does it connect to fuel station automation or hotel / restaurant systems?
No, there is no ready-made integration with these systems. If you need to transfer data, you can use the API.
