Lifetime desktop license: what it covers and renewing web/mobile
What the lifetime license covers, what happens when the free web and mobile period ends, why you get a "your license is expiring" warning and what to do when you change computers.
The Lifetime Desktop license lets you use only the desktop app, on one computer, for an unlimited time with all its features. When you buy it, you get the web and mobile apps free for the first year. When the free period ends, the desktop app keeps working; for web and mobile, you buy a yearly license.

Frequently asked questions
I bought the lifetime license, so why do I get a “your license is expiring” warning?
This warning and SMS aren't about your desktop license; they are about the end of the free 1-year web and mobile period. The end date shown in the license details (e.g. one year later) also belongs to this free period. In the desktop app, on the Settings › Your license details page, the desktop package's duration shows as “Lifetime”.
Will I never have to pay again?
For the desktop app, yes: there is no further payment, and updates are free too. If you also want to use the web and mobile apps after the free period ends, you buy a yearly license for them.
What will I pay for web and mobile?
Lifetime license holders get %40 off the yearly license. You don't need to ask for a discount code: it is sent to you in the license expiry reminders and is applied automatically and filled into the discount code field when you open the Buy License page. Details: Discounts and promotions.
What happens if I don't renew web and mobile?
You keep using the desktop app without any limits. The web panel stays open with the limited features of the free version, and logging in to the mobile app is closed. Your data isn't deleted.
Is there a lifetime package for web and mobile too?
No. Web and mobile are only available with a yearly license.
How many computers can I use with a lifetime license?
A lifetime license is for one computer. If you also want to use the desktop app on a second till, message our WhatsApp support line: Branches and additional devices.
What happens to my license if I change my computer?
The license is tied to your account, not the computer. Install the desktop app on the new computer and log in with the same account; your data comes from the cloud. If your license needs to be assigned to the new computer, send the new computer's App Key (shown at the bottom of the desktop home screen) to our WhatsApp support line. Before leaving the old computer, make sure the data has synced: Desktop updates and backups.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. The desktop app sells without internet too; your data syncs with the cloud when the internet is back. To keep sync regular, connect the computer to the internet at least once a day.
Can I use it on a Mac?
No. The desktop app only runs on Windows. On a Mac, you can use BenimPOS in a web browser; this also requires a yearly license.
I bought a yearly license by mistake. Can I switch to lifetime? Or the other way round?
You can request cancellation and a refund within 14 days of purchase: License invoice, cancellation and refund. A lifetime license can't be converted to a yearly license. To switch from a yearly license to lifetime, message our WhatsApp support line.
Which businesses is the lifetime license for?
Businesses that work with one till and don't need staff permissions or remote monitoring. If you employ staff, want to follow sales from your phone or use more than one till, a yearly license is a better fit: License types and prices.
